In response to TLS’ survey…

I browsed through International Wota today, and I happened to be interested in TLS’ survey.

Goals:

Why do you blog?

I do it because I want to express my opinions, too. Sometimes I read blogs and see that some people don’t like this or someone likes this, when I have reasons why I’m the exact opposite. In truth, I guess I do it to debate, but I like blogging simply because it’s fun. It may take away a useful lot of spare time (I use an hour just to review something, an album takes me two hours), but it’s pretty fun once you get the hang of it.

What long-term goals do you hope to accomplish, if any at all?

I’m kind of confused by the question really… but from what I can understand, I hope to accomplish making my opinion out to the world, and sometimes, I’d like to have moments where I get a recommended topic on International Wota (some of us do, don’t lie! XD), but really, I’d just want some people to agree with my topics and try out music for themselves.

Where does your blog fail to meet your goals?

A lot of times! I assume because I don’t get a lot of hits on my page that some people just don’t want to agree with me, but I don’t really care. It could be that people just wanna come here for download, but I wouldn’t say it fails. It actually works in its favor! I got 91 hits in one day, so that made me happy!

If you do have goals, what will accomplishing them do for yourself?

I don’t know really. I would feel happy, I’m guessing. That’s pretty much it, I don’t really gain much but still, the happy factor XD

What do you want to gain out of blogging? A creative outlet? Praise from others? Personal satisfaction? Money?

I just want COMMENTARY! There is no commentary. That saddens me.
LOL, well not that too much, but like I just wanna get my opinion out there. Nothing really, more like personal satisfaction I guess.

Do you feel that your blog should meet a requirement for amount of entries? Do you feel any particular entry should be a certain length?

YEAH, I always do. I always tell myself, one a day because there’s not enough time in this world. And for me, I don’t really care how long an entry is, but I do care how much blog topics I have to do, because I really have no spare time anymore.

For any particular entry, what motivates you to start and finish blog posts?

Hearing the songs over again. I just get reminded like that.

Do you actively consider long term goals for each individual post?

Not really actually. I mean, I do want commentary and personal hit count, but it’s not very long-term in my opinion. Really, I could care less what goal I have, as long as it makes me happy I’m blogging.

Subject Material:

What do you blog about?

HAHA It’s all JPop! Well, at least it used to be… now it’s all like, a resource for people, see which artists they could try out. I plan on reviewing something new, but at the moment, it’s all just JPop stuff.

Would you be keep a blog even if it wasn’t about the subjects you tend to cover?

Of course! I plan on doing that in the near future. I’m keeping this blog a bit on the JPop side, but watch, I’ll be hagging on about Eye-Candy, KPop, possibly even American music, you never know =D

Do you write about the material to promote it to others?

Yeah, that’s pretty much the goal of this blog.

Readership:

How much do you care about readership?

I CARE. I need more hits ): LOL I started this like.. 2 years ago, and so far, my best hit count is 91 -_-”

Does it satisfy you to know people are reading, even if they don’t comment?

Yes it does, but I still do appreciate some commentary.

What effect does receiving a comment have on you?

I LOVE GETTING COMMENTS! I never get any ):

Do you write with a particular audience in mind or an unspecified general audience? Why?

I can be general, but really, mine is more aimed at those interested or like JPop music. I might change that soon.

If you write for a particular audience, is it International Wota? If yes, why?

YES! HAHA, it really is just International Wota because it’s like the base where people check out your blog and your blog gets noticed and stuff like that. It’s an honour that Ray takes time to talk about my blog and read other blogs. It’s a pretty cool site.

Community: (The International Wota section)

If International Wota didn’t exist, would you blog?

Sure I would! I mean, I wouldn’t get as much hits as before, but it’s still fun to blog.

When IW covers an entry of yours, are you encouraged to blog more or less?

Oh, totally encouraged to do more.

When IW does not cover an entry, are you encouraged to blog more or less?

Doesn’t really matter. They either probably forgot, it’s just one topic. If it keeps going like that, then I may as well not blog, but it’s usually just one topic they forget.

How often do you read other blogs?

Everyday now actually…

How often do you comment on other blogs?

Not a lot HAHA I actually don’t comment… so me asking for comments in return is like saying “Wow, I don’t have comments, so I may as well not comment yours. But feel free to go and say what you like!” -_-”

If another blog covers a topic that you wanted or wished to cover, do you still blog about that specific topic? Why or why not?

YES I DO. Because that’s their opinions. I want to speak mine out. If I have the same one, doesn’t matter, as long as I expressed my personal reasons why.

Commitment:

How serious is your attitude towards blogging? Do you consider it just as something to do for fun?

I AM SERIOUS.
I always talk seriously, but it’s fun to just lay back and have a fun attitude towards the blog. So, from time to time, I am a SO-SO. XD

How often do you blog? How often would you like to blog?

I blog more often now, but I would love it if I did it at least once everyday. NO, I got projects to do, thanks teachers at high school.

What priorities do you or have you put aside in order to blog? Why?

HOMEWORK! Because homework is retarded. It is for little children. NOT, kidding. BUT it is still retarded. I have projects coming up -_- NOT FUN. Blogging is more fun AND I can put my “english” skills to the test (SEE, I DO INCORPORATE EDUCATION INTO BLOGGING!)

Do you see yourself blogging in 6 months? Why or why not?

YES. Because I am slacking -_-” HAHA
NO, I am in grade 11, I will have to work hard. 6 months would be November right? MM… Yeah, nevermind, I could blog enough because projects won’t start until December.

Personal:

Would you say you blog for yourself?

OH NO! I blog for everyone. I make it worthwhile for people to read my stuff, even though it’s my opinion, I want them to speak out too, say what they want to say. (I think most of those reading my blog are just looking for some LEECHIN’ yenno.. -_-” LOL, just kidding HAHA)

What is your feeling after posting an entry? Is it relative to the time and effort you put in an entry?

I FEEL GREAT like I have finished a load.. (which reminds me, GAME?!). Yes it is, because everyone knows how long my reviews are, especially of just one song. (Usually like 7-8 sentences tops XD)

What needs does blogging fulfill?

I don’t know really. It just makes it feel like you’ve done your job again and that you’ve totally got a run in for a recommended in International Wota. It just fulfills the happiness in your heart ;D

Do you consider yourself a writer?

I am a novel writer. Check out them long paragraphs in my reviews! -_-”

Do you consider yourself good at writing? Good at blogging?

I am good at english writing.
I am bad at making a blog that is nice enough. LOL
No, I think I’m alright, just I need practice, is all.

How much of your personal life do you share on your blog? If none, why do you leave this out?

Not a lot, but I should start doing that… start every topic with how I ran into this single or how I happened to like this single or singer or stuff like that.

..
& I’m done! That’s a lot of questions well worth answering! =D
